Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Apply deep understanding of manufacturing concepts and quality control to lead the development of specific Product Quality Plans (PQP) appropriate to program and commodity. Enable the mass creation of impossible products and work in tandem with Apple's renowned designers to develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at massive production scale. Evaluate and communicate the yield of new and existing processes. Drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team members. Develop and implement groundbreaking manufacturing quality inspection tools. Identify and direct studies to implement improvements in measuring method where appropriate. Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Apple quality standards. Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product. Supplier Quality Management. Assess supplier production control and quality programs, identify shortfalls to expectation, and directly secure agreement to correct. Review PQP with supplier and other Apple functional groups to optimize supplier quality programs. International Travel Required 30%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

• 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

• Quality and Reliability Concepts

• Manufacturing, Sustaining operations

• Quality Management System documentation

• Engineering Statistics

• Supplier Evaluation & Auditing

• Sustainable manufacturing

• Advanced manufacturing
