Summary

The Apps team is in search of a high-energy and ambitious Engineering Project Manager. We're looking for people with the ability to ship complex, customer-facing products under demanding timelines.

Description

This is a hands-on position where the Project Manager will be involved in requirements analysis, functional and technical discussions, testing, proof-of-concept, and more. This is not a task-based job; you will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery.

Strong fundamentals are a requirement but you have more. You take responsibility; you feel a personal stake in the product you ship; you communicate responsibilities and scope clearly; you value integrity; you thrive in conflict; you know how things work; you work for the success of the entire Project Management team; you thrive in uncertainty and strive to bring order to it; you have deep wisdom and judgment; you keep your eye on the ball; you build positive relationships; you are aware of politics but do not get mired in them; you are constantly looking to improve yourself and your team; you're prescient; and you ship code which millions of customers will use.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Engineering Project Management expertise, delivering software and services through a full project lifecycle.

  • Experience managing projects using Agile software development.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Communication, or a related subject area, or we may consider an equivalent industry experience.

  • Enjoy technical challenges and have the ability to work with various teams, building and managing relationships to navigate delivery dependencies.

  • Versatile problem solver, equipped with a strong analytical approach to various challenges in complex environments. Adept at creative and critical thinking, able to deconstruct problems, resolve conflicts and lead the teams to solutions.

  • You are someone who appreciates and enjoys the technical challenges that can exist in delivering software.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to filter and distill meaningful information to the right audience.

  • Self starter with a strong sense of personal responsibility and a technical orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Communication, or a related subject area, or we may consider an equivalent industry experience.
