American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses of all sizes, supporting companies through products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The Marketing Process Enablement (MPE) team sits within Strategic Capabilities & Business Operations (SCBO) in the Global Commercial Services (GCS) Marketing organization. MPE focuses on execution excellence through standardized procedures, scalable process improvements, and strong consultative partnerships.
This role will report to the Director, Marketing Process Enablement, leading key operational processes, scalable enablement, governance, and continuous improvement efforts that allow marketers to launch high-quality campaigns with confidence and speed.
Job Description:
The Sr. Manager will play a critical role in optimizing, standardizing, and scaling the end-to-end marketing execution process for GCS Marketing. This role serves as a program management and process improvement leader, responsible for defining and evolving intake, prioritization, and execution frameworks that improve operational effectiveness across marketing execution teams.
You will lead documentation efforts, drive scalable process and workflow improvements, strengthen training and onboarding for execution-focused teams, and ensure changes are clearly communicated and adopted across the organization. This role requires a strong project manager who can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, leverage Airtable as an operational platform, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve speed, quality, consistency, and governance.
This role partners closely with Commercial & Consumer Marketing, Control Management, Product, Capabilities & Technology, and Enterprise Operations to ensure GCS can execute marketing initiatives efficiently, consistently, and with strong governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the marketing execution process improvement program, including defining and refining intake, prioritization, and governance frameworks to manage multiple initiatives effectively.
Lead development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Desk Instructions for Offers execution processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment to enterprise risk identification and reduction efforts.
Leverage Airtable as a core operational and program management platform to manage workflows, track initiatives, support prioritization, and enable visibility across execution and process improvement efforts.
Drive scalable process redesign and operational improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across GCS Marketing execution.
Communicate and socialize process improvements across the organization, ensuring implemented changes are clearly understood, adopted, and sustained by execution teams.
Lead training and content creation workstreams for GCS Marketing, partnering with cross-business stakeholders to build a robust onboarding framework and evolve learning content aligned to strategic priorities and new processes.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment and delivery discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a strong program and project manager with a process improvement mindset who can operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment. They are highly organized, solutions-oriented, and effective at driving change through clear communication and collaboration.
Demonstrated experience in program management, project management, or process improvement, including defining intake, prioritization, and execution frameworks.
Proven experience using Airtable as an operational, workflow, or program management platform (required).
Experience identifying, designing, and implementing scalable process improvements or process re-design initiatives.
Experience with training, onboarding, or content development to support process or operational change.
Experience with controls, testing, monitoring, or risk-related processes. Preferred Qualifications:
Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and navigating competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communicator who can effectively communicate process changes and influence adoption across diverse audiences.
Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across levels.
Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and proactively solve problems.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
