Job Description
The Analytics & Performance Excellence (APEX) function supports AbbVie’s US AbbVie Patient Services (APS) organization and is comprised of highly respected analysts, data scientists and strategists who are committed to being best-in-class within the biopharmaceutical industry. We serve as a strategic in-house counsel, ensuring that all decisions leverage the key insights that we develop. The Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics will provide strategic leadership for analytics and business intelligence initiatives across the Patient Support and Enrollment & Triage teams. This role will be responsible for driving the vision, development, and execution of analytics strategies, overseeing cross-functional teams, and ensuring business alignment with advanced data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities:
Drive the development and implementation of analytics & business intelligence strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and priorities.
Provide strategic oversight for all program impacts and data needs across relevant teams and stakeholders.
Serve as a subject matter expert in the data connected to core business processes, defining and owning the business rules that shape analytics and deliver actionable insights aligned with organizational priorities.
Closely partner with business leads from Patient Support and Enrollment & Triage teams as a trusted business partner, delivering strategic insights that address critical business needs and drive actionable decisions.
Lead standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement across business intelligence and data operations.
Oversee cross-vendor teams and initiatives to deliver high-impact, actionable insights by identifying and securing effective resources, ensuring appropriate budget planning and timely execution of solutions.
Spearhead Data Quality Management (DQM) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives, promoting rigorous standards and data reliability.
Leverage emerging technologies like Gen AI and big data ecosystems to optimize analytics & business intelligence capabilities.
Advanced stakeholder and business management, communicating with and influencing senior leaders and external partners.
Execute programs to develop data literacy among APEX team members.
Qualifications
BA/BS required; Master's degree in a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in large-scale analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy roles, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving.
Demonstrates excellent strategic communication skills, collaborating across all organizational levels, and clearly and confidently articulating complex concepts to a broad client base.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data visualization tools.
Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously with sense of urgency.
Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and further integrate data to better serve business needs.
Demonstrates strong project management and communication skills, collaborating effectively in a matrixed environment across commercial and marketing stakeholders.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ?

Salary: $106,500 - $202,500
