We are seeking a Director of Technical Production and Broadcast Operations to lead the team responsible for a critical piece of our work. In this role you will drive a core part of how we produce, capture, distribute and share our events and will lead the charge in how we remain future focussed.

Description
- Serves as the primary technical and production voice for all event-related departments.
- Responsible for the overall quality control of the technical aspects of event production including system design, production plans, testing and broadcast.
- Develops strategic direction for all engineering projects ensuring technical integrity, maintenance and redundancy of product/program technologies.
- Provides centralized technical and show production leadership.
- Defines team strategy with department leads to set resource allocations, budgets and timelines.
- Manages resources and output to ensure that deliverables meet defined objectives and quality standards.
- Communicates event project status and risks to stakeholders.
- Ensures optimal organizational structure and processes for high-quality, efficient and on-time production.
- Ensures technology teams and projects run smoothly and efficiently, managing stakeholders and dependencies internally and externally.
- Lead the audio, lighting, engineering and visual teams, provide technical guidance on business decisions and project execution.
- Act as senior technical lead for multiple Apple venues and off-site event venues.
- Oversee external vendors, participating in evaluation, RFP and scope definitions, selection and management. Responsible for maintaining budgets, overseeing reconciliation and procurement on-boarding.
- Lead the team responsible for new and emerging event technologies, including testing, prototyping and delivery.
- Responsible for overall broadcast and streaming network that includes both back-end service and player initiatives to continuously improve the video playback experience for Live-streaming and VOD.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 20 years validated experience with a proven track record in live events, technical productions within venues, film productions and live Broadcasts.
Experience leading live events, film recordings, theatrical productions and streaming teams.
Ability to travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing complex projects with dependencies from multiple teams.
Experience in designing technical systems for state-of-the-art venues.
Strong leadership and communication skills, including effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
Technical proficiency with live events, pre-recorded content and venue/theater management.
Ensure technology teams and projects run smoothly and efficiently, managing all department heads and key stakeholders.
Distill complex discussions into clear, actionable requirements and foster effective collaboration.
Passionate about leading exceptional creative and technical individuals on industry-leading projects.
Exhibit problem-solving skills in complex challenges, finding common ground between competing viewpoints.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $263,100 and $420,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
