About the Team:
American Express National Bank is American Express’ U.S. banking operation, representing more than 60% of the company’s revenues through consistent payments, financing, and savings products. Led by the Chief Operating Officer, AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with Bank affiliates and executive officers. In addition, the team is responsible for helping AENB attain all established operational and financial goals as well as ensuring ongoing adherence with laws and regulations governing Bank policies and procedures.
The AENB Strategy and Execution Team includes multiple functions within AENB HQ including AENB Strategic Plan and Bank Products, the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), and the AENB Customer Remediation Strategy.
The Enterprise Program Management Office establishes the Enterprise Change Management and Project Risk and Controls strategy by setting up a foundational governance structure that ensures risks associated with Change Management including Projects are identified, assessed, and managed in compliance with the Enterprise Change Management and Project Governance Policy and reporting. Additionally, the EPMO supports the execution of select enterprise initiatives that cross multiple lines of business company wide.
About the Role:
The Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) is looking for a Cadence, Change & Communication Manager to drive and manage program outreach and communications.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Own creation and dissemination of all Project Governance communications, including management of communications against a recurring schedule.
Collaborate with the EPMO team and project governance stakeholders to identify change challenges and potential solutions to accelerate change adoption.
Drive prioritization and execution of solutions to improve enterprise change adoption for the project governance framework.
Track weekly progress based on the team’s change management strategy and plan.
Collaborate meaningfully and strategically with cross-functional teams to ensure communications are received by the target audience.
Support stakeholder alignment by delivering clear and effective communications around EPMO expectations, action items, progress, etc.
Anticipate needs and exercise a proactive bias toward action.
Challenge the status quo and remove barriers creatively.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of experience in project management, communications, data analytics, regulatory governance, risk management, or related fields.
Experience leading change management initiatives across complex organizations.
Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior BU/tech counterparts.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively influence, multitask and prioritize as business needs evolve with a high degree of comfort amongst senior leaders. Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing, both formally and informally.
Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and handle changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while leading with limited direct authority.
Experience delivering large, complex initiatives with multiple partners under high pressure and tight timeframes.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
Experience within the financial services industry.
Experience in at least one of the following:
Translating risk strategies and appetite into execution guidelines
Tracking and identifying issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite to ensure relevant risks are managed within agreed thresholds
Creating, communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to risk procedures and standards
Supporting the risk exam management processes

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
