Job Description

Purpose

A computer science engineer who applies technical knowledge, computer skills, database management and ingenuity to complete assignments related specifically to serialization / aggregation systems (Track and Trace) database management, serialized order verification and multi-level disciplined systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities of this engineering grade level inherently include and expand upon the responsibilities established for lower engineering grade levels

  • Being a contributing member of the Serialization Core Team

  • Installing, troubleshooting and supporting Track & Trace server hardware\software in a multi-server, multi-platform environment

  • Support all Track & Trace interfaced manufacturing devices such as printers, switches, and workstations

  • Zebra & Sato labeling support

  • Providing Microsoft SQL support (basic queries & data extraction)

  • Managing IT Change Control process for all Track & Trace Infrastructure & Software changes

  • Support and troubleshoot serialization line software and line PC

  • Support and troubleshoot serialization site server and software

  • Support and maintain site serialization databases

  • Support and troubleshoot interfaces with EPCIS and ERP

  • Assist in creation of Standard Operating Procedures & Work Instructions

  • Assist in conducting serialization training sessions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 2+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience. Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience.

  • Has demonstrated competency within a discipline

  • Possesses a working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Demonstrates judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

  • Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators

  • Listens to and understands others' points of view and articulates tactfully and respectfully one's own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations

  • Works well with other engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced goal-driven environment

  • Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences

  • Has a technical background in health care, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biologics, or similar industries (preferred)

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
