How will you make an impact in this role?

The US Consumer Marketing (USCM) organization leads prospect acquisition and customer marketing for US Consumer Card, one of the largest growth engines within American Express. The Marketing Analytics & Investment Services (MAIS) Team within USCM is responsible for several key functions, including investment forecasting and calibrations, performance reporting, business insights, budget management & Investment Optimization (IO). Within Investment Services, the goal of Customer Growth Data Capabilities is to integrate data from various sources into our use case and develop reporting capabilities. The vision for the team is to enable access to the customer marketing data in an organized format and help derive meaningful insights, enabling leadership to react to the marketing campaign performance in real time for agile decision making, ensuring that investment dollars are continually optimized to the best investments from a customer and shareholder perspective.

We are seeking candidates for the role of Senior Analyst - Customer Growth Data Capabilities. The individual will be responsible for data integration with various marketing performance data sources internal to Amex, perform data discovery, analysis, data quality, collaboration with other teams and delivering on demand reporting and insights to leadership. They will become subject matter expert on Customer Growth Data and lead projects end-to-end.

Job Responsibilities:

• Own the logic, maintain and enhance the existing data lake for all Customer Treatments (ex. Cross-Sells, Upgrades, Lending treatments etc.,).

• Collaborate with Marketing teams to understand the new features, groom the requirements, investigate issues.

• Collaborate with the Technology team on daily basis to get projects delivered in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with Data Science, Finance and other enterprise data teams on need basis.

• Cater to ad-hoc analytic and data requests to leaders.Provide an incubation environment for new analytic/reporting ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in an Analytics environment.

• Hands-on experience working on relational databases and big data platforms like Hadoop and Google Big query.

• Must have: proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint

• Good to have: Big Query knowledge, Tableau, PowerBI, Python basics

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising on the quality.

• Strong customer facing communication skills.

• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy – strong sense of responsibility and accountability

• Project management skills – ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize

• Relationship building skills – enjoys working as part of a larger team and fostering relationships

• Presentation skills – equally capable of creating presentation materials and presenting in front of peers and more senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics or similar field.

• Proven experience querying large sets of data and deriving insights.

Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
