Description
In this role, you will be part of an industry-leading RF Transmitter Systems Engineering team. You will work closely with architecture and systems engineering teams, RF design teams, and SW teams to assess, specify, and drive transmitter concepts with a focus on innovative performance and uncompromised quality as the baseline for differentiating products.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience required.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate across multicultural, global teams.
Understanding of Cellular Radio/3GPP Standards (LTE, 5G NR FR1/2) with a focus on system use cases.
Experience with HW and SW co-design and clear understanding of trade-offs between digital HW and firmware implementations.
Background in digital signal processing.
Proficiency and practical experience in Python and MATLAB.
Understanding of how to translate top-level requirements into specifications for transceiver building blocks, including dimensioning digital control systems for RF applications (CPU, memory, buses, real-time constraints).
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or 5+ years of proven experience in RF, including cellular transmit architectures.
Familiarity with cellular modem architectures.
Experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) to improve multi-objective optimizations.
Knowledge of RF circuit impairments and experience modeling their system-level impact.
Expertise in transmitter system-level concepts and control procedures like power control, digital pre-distortion, and envelope tracking.
Understanding of SoC integration constraints and multi-chip RF architectures.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,100 and $244,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
