How will you make an impact in this role?
The Global Commercial Services (GCS) US Small Business Marketing team is at the forefront of digital innovation and delivers highly engaging experiences to prospective business customers. The team strives to attract and convert new business customers through digital touch points to drive significant revenue growth for American Express. With innovative paid media tactics and creative, strategic partnerships with leading digital platforms and agencies, and a best-in-class website, the team delivers more than 50% of net new spend acquired from small business customers.
The Senior Manager, Site Analytics & Optimization will be a core member of the Prospect Marketing Site team, and will lead channel analytics and reporting, data targeting, forecasting and other strategic growth initiatives for the americanexpress.com Small Business website. He/she will focus on identifying and driving growth opportunities through always-on Shop optimization, using performance trends and key metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
This role requires strong organizational and execution skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple partners, in addition to being a strong communicator, collaborator, and problem solver. We are looking for a team player who is naturally curious and proactively seeks to find the “why” behind results. The Senior Manager of Site Analytics & Optimization will enhance the business decision-making process by providing insightful and analytical recommendations rooted in data, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide and maintain regular reporting and tracking on Site channel performance
Design, develop, and maintain performance dashboards to share across the organization and with senior leadership (making findings digestible and straightforward); Create reporting, data analysis, planning, and performance measurement for the Site team; regularly present these findings
Help to understand and explain how marketing initiatives across Prospect Marketing are impacting products across the Card portfolio on Site; piece together data from different sources to tell a story
Partner with various analytics teams to understand channel performance, translate data into insights, and optimize accordingly, influencing Site creative test and learn roadmap & initiatives
Manage channel budget and results forecasting in partnership with internal Investment Optimization and Finance teams
Lead the development of the channel forecast, monthly reporting, commentary, and risk/opportunities (R&O) process, striving for monthly forecast accuracy versus plan
Be strategic and able to identify opportunities to initiate analysis that creates a positive impact on the business
Support the amex.com channel team on additional strategic growth projects, as needed
Lead two direct reports
Minimum Qualifications:
5-7 years of digital marketing, analytics, ecommerce, agency, or related experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience analyzing complex data
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, with experience translating data into a story
Highly organized—strong project management skills, attention to detail, and comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Strong relationship building skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners
Passion for digital marketing, with ability to identify relevant consumer behavior trends and the impacts of new technology
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
