As a Program Manager on Apple's Trust & Safety team, you will play a vital role in supporting the instrumentation of feature and implementation of efforts to meet key goals. The Trust and Safety team spans strategy, policy, online safety analysis, engineering, operations, and research, while supporting all parts of the Apple ecosystem.
We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Program Manager to drive regulatory efforts for the Trust & Safety team focused on data and transparency reporting efforts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of trust and safety issues, exceptional program management skills, and demonstrated experience leading program management for a portfolio of complex multi-faceted initiatives.
Description
As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for end to end management of data and transparency reporting efforts; with a specific emphasis on driving, evolving, and completing key regulatory reporting deadlines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish repeatable, scalable practices, while also working to anticipate and respond to needs as they surface.
Key responsibilities include:
Program Execution: Design, drive, deliver, and maintain end to end program focused on data and transparency reporting across relevant groups at Apple.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Apple - including Legal, Engineering, Data Insights, Compliance, and Operations - to align on priorities and deliver results.
Complexity reduction and delivery: Help teams align on clear goals and outcomes by breaking down complexity and ambiguity.
Program Vision & Strategy: Help develop, iterate, and drive a program vision and strategy.
Issue Resolution: Resolve discrepancies, troubleshoot, and unblock issues.
Technical Understanding: Develop in-depth understanding of Apple's technical/data architecture, informed by your understanding of industry standard processes, to ensure online safety regulatory and data business intelligence needs are met.
Communication & Collaboration: Connect with all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives.
Legal & Compliance: Collaborate closely with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to understand regulatory landscape and align requirements for program delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of program management experience with consumer-facing data program management, with a strong preference for experience with online safety data and transparency reporting and/or regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools with a demonstrated experience running complex, cross-functional projectsin dynamic or evolving environments .
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a focus on delivering meaningful outcomes.
Strong technical proficiency and attention to detail, high level of comfort with technical data for regulatory reporting and compliance, and ease in engaging with data analysts and technical teams for delivery.
A pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, with a willingness to compromise and find creative solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Trust and Safety experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Hadoop, Python, working with Data Lakes, Javascript, PySpark is a plus.
Flexible working style with the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly.
Process-minded with an excitement to join a new team and support the development of governance procedures and protocols in partnership with others.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $263,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
