As a part of our Products & Regulatory Legal Group, you’ll help uphold Apple’s high ethical and corporate standards, while providing crucial advice to our in-house partners across the globe. As Health Products Counsel, you will support the development of Apple’s innovative health products, collaborating with engineering, marketing, operations, clinical, and regulatory teams to bring cutting-edge products and features to users worldwide.
Description
In this role, you will join a team of attorneys in the Products & Regulatory Legal Group, supporting global business partners developing health technologies, products, and features. You will draft and negotiate a variety of agreements to facilitate the design, development, and distribution of Apple’s health technologies. You will help formulate legal and regulatory strategies and advise on and provide novel solutions to assess and mitigate risks presented by the development of innovative health technologies. You will also collaborate with other legal groups and advise engineering, marketing, operations, clinical, and regulatory teams on legal matters related to health-related features and products, including product development, compliance, marketing, research collaborations and partnerships, and human subjects research.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of legal experience in a company, law firm, or government agency
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
Preferred Qualifications
Experience drafting and negotiating complex academic center, clinical trial/research, technology licensing/development, and commercial agreements
Experience in product counseling and product regulatory matters
Adept at navigating and resolving complex legal issues in creative and effective ways while displaying business insight and analytical skills
Ability to distill nuanced legal concepts into clear and concise practical guidance
Ability to advise executive management, and facilitate teamwork by cultivating relationships, counseling, collaborating, and effectively communicating with teammates and cross-functional partners
Familiarity with human subjects research, academic research, medical devices, and digital health tools is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,700 and $301,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
