Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Contribute to next generation Airplay features design, development and commercialization. Software development/bug fixing for a wide range of Apple products. Contribute to Airplay software stack that runs on Apple products and third-party products which requires knowledge of operating systems, computer network, computer graphics, multimedia, database, etc. Collaborate with various cross functional teams to deliver end-to-end Airplay features that continuously enhance user experience. Implement new features, bug triaging and fixing, which utilize knowledge of audio and multimedia, operating system, computer graphics, database, etc. Perform various testing and bug reproduction for other engineers to do bug triage. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,187 - $181,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Utilizing C, C++, Objective-C, Swift or Python programming languages to implement multimedia features, developing code according to defined specifications.
Utilizing JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages to implement layout and styling of user interface elements for audio and video media players.
Communicating with designers to translate design requirements into functional specifications.
Utilizing web rendering engines including Chromium to design web applications.
Using modern multimedia codecs including H265 and HEVC to encode and decode video and audio streams for use in mobile applications.
Developing with market-dominant Operating Systems, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Android.
Using REST APIs to ensure that data and services are available internally and externally via the internet.
Utilizing Development environments including Xcode and VS Code to author, debug, prototype and deploy code.
