Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Using Swift, Objective-C, C++, and C programming languages, to develop system software components for all Apple operating systems. Collaborate with teams within the company to design and implement new system software features. Diagnose and fix flaws in system software. Audit system software for security vulnerabilities and implement security enhancements. Implement automated testing for system software. Review and critique software designs and changes proposed by associate engineers. Communicate project status and schedule forecast accurately to management. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Systems Design Engineering; Computer Science, Electrical or Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience and/or education must include:

  • Using the Objective-C, Swift, C++ programming languages, and development tools to develop software for iOS, macOS, or VisionOS operating systems.

  • Developing user interface software, applying principles in user-interaction design.

  • Analyzing and developing software to protect user privacy and prevent devices from being compromised by malicious software by applying secure design principles including permission controls, access restriction, and data encryption.

  • Utilizing concurrent, client-server software to develop new frameworks and services for system software.

  • Analyzing and fixing flaws in existing system software using Xcode and lldb debugging tools.

  • Using Stash and Github software management tools and propose architectural and algorithm improvements.

  • Planning complex engineering projects, identify cross-team dependencies and accurately forecast completion schedules.

  • Developing automated software tests to ensure ongoing product quality.
