Summary
The Apple Services Engineering team powers the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music,
Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books, combining Apple's passion for art and technology on a
massive scale. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Commerce team, which
manages purchases and subscriptions for millions of customers and developers worldwide.
Description
This is an opportunity to tackle the challenges of building a world-class, extraordinary, and
scalable commerce platform. You will work on adding new integrations, scaling data
flows, and re-imagining existing processes to accommodate new features, architectures, and country-
specific requirements. This role operates at an immense scale of volume and complexity, in a
fast-paced environment where the best engineers and scientists collaborate to deliver fantastic
products for our customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in qualifications below:
Strong experience with Java programming and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
Knowledge of databases (both SQL and NoSQL, e.g., Cassandra) and entity-relationship modeling.
Experience building and working with highly scalable applications and RESTful web services.
Familiarity with scalability, performance issues, and programming for eventual consistency.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to leadership.
Familiarity with UX principles and Frontend UI engineering
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science is preferred.
Strong sense of responsibility and an interest in the commerce domain.
Excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Willingness to take ownership, set direction, and navigate ambiguity.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
