Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Architect and implement production software systems for new technologies, fusing them with existing capabilities, and bringing new experiences to our users. Collaborate with developers on other iOS teams to architect the full iOS solution. Design and implement full-stack technologies integrating wireless technologies to solve real-world problems. Participate in brainstorming and evaluating new technologies as iOS continues to evolve. Collect and analyze real-world data sets of varying size and complexity. Optimize performance, robustness, and scalability of new and existing services. Summarize and distill the technical content to inform the upper management and gather technical direction. Create a technical demonstration experiment/experience for other teams and management. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 - $210,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Writing and debugging system daemon (OS) software to deliver stated functionality of processes running on multi-core CPU, in C++, Obj-C, and Swift
Writing framework/library to expose the underlying OS software access to other developers, C++ and Swift
Reviewing other developer’s code, reconstituting and inferring the underlying intention and design goal in C++, Objc-C, Swift, python code review
Writing micro-controller firmware to control wireless chips
Writing C++, Objc-C, Swift libraries to expose the firmware access, or data type to developers outside the team
Writing test scripts to exercise the feature on CPU, and micro-controller, in Python, Swift, Obj-C
Writing and understanding signal processing / controls algorithms in Matlab, NumPy, C++ Integrating the software and firmware build and test into a continuous integration servers, including Jenkins, XcodeBuild
Using software tools including GDB and Valgrind to instrument and analyze the software performance and diagnose hotspots
Diagnosing and resolving complex low-level operating system issues, such as process scheduling, memory management (e.g. leaks, corruption), and concurrency challenges.
