Summary
Are you ready to work alongside the iPhone Product Design team to bring Appleās new designs to life? As a CAD drafter, you will collaborate with engineers on some of our most exciting projects.
Description
As a CAD engineer, you will be enlisted to support 2D/3D CAD reviews and requests from the product design team, provide CAD consultation/troubleshooting, implement new CAD standards, and identify and create new CAD procedures. You should be extremely well organized and able to balance numerous program needs simultaneously, have excellent communication and social skills to help you quickly grasp issues, understand the details, and drive the appropriate resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
Commitment to product secrecy
Ability to dis/reassemble Apple hardware w/o guided documentation
Proven experience with CAD (preferably NX, Solidworks, ProE)
Experience creating engineering drawings
Experience releasing drawings for various fabrication processes
Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
Ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to learn/adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
Ability to work independently, on multiple projects/deadlines
Highly detail-oriented
Experience with Numbers/Pages/Keynote/Excel
Clear technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design for manufacturability and design for assembly
Experience with statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience presenting and communicating work products to a range of audiences
Experience with complex surface modeling
Experience with rendering and animation
