Summary

Come join a team of dedicated people passionate about continuously improving the culture in Hardware Engineering (HWE). We are looking for someone to help create, implement, and maintain our early career rotation program in partnership with senior leaders and many other teams across Apple.

You’ll be supporting early career talent across a range of engineering disciplines (Mechanical Engineering to start with plans to expand to Electrical Engineering, Materials, and more) as they start their careers by rotating among multiple roles and teams, helping them find the right long-term fit for them and the organization.

Description

In this role, you will create and run a rotational program for engineers who are just starting their careers. We are searching for someone who is eager to help others, is passionate about developing people early in their careers, and who will act as a guide and advocate for those participating in the program. Using your understanding of HWE and all of its business functions, you will help us design a program that will work across different engineering disciplines. Once leadership is aligned on the plan, you will then own the execution — from concept to completion — while ensuring all key stakeholders are able to provide feedback and insight along the way.

You should be able to effectively prioritize, drive decisions, and problem solve while working both collaboratively and individually. You will also need to use data to track the efficacy of the rotation program, implement methods of collecting feedback, and apply what you learn to continuously iterate, change, and improve the program over time. You should be comfortable influencing a diverse and passionate group, ranging from executives to those early in their careers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Engineering, or equivalent

  • 3+ years experience in project/program management, working closely with and influencing executive leadership in an engineering organization

  • 7+ years experience in managing, coaching, and developing people (early career development a plus)

  • Experience building and leading large-scale programs focused on professional development from concept to completion

  • Experience creating and delivering data-driven presentations to various audiences, including engineers, executives, and cross-functional teams

  • Passionate about creating inclusive workspaces and developing and mentoring people

  • Self-starter who is meticulous, highly organized, creative, excited to deal with ambiguity, and flourishes in a highly dynamic environment

  • Proven success building meaningful business relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and managing partner expectations

  • Able to think critically, especially when exploring and evaluating solutions and making data-driven decisions

  • Exceptional communication skills and effective at conveying information in a variety of formats to multiple different audiences

  • Anticipates the needs of others and can foresee and prevent possible issues prior to program implementation

  • Able to effectively prioritize and allocate attention among multiple tasks while adhering to strict schedules

  • Eager to receive and implement feedback to continuously improve, striving for excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Engineering, or equivalent

  • Prior experience in creating and running a rotation program for engineers

  • Experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, Management, or a similar field

  • Experience in performance management and employee development
