The Retail Technology Engineering team designs, develops and deploys apps and digital experiences that shape the future of Apple Retail stores globally. You'll be a part of a dynamic team of full stack engineers, who work in partnership with various Apple teams, to deliver innovative, scalable solutions to tens of thousands of Apple devices across 500+ stores worldwide. Description
We’re seeking a dedicated manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for software tooling that streamlines and optimizes demo content creation and digital experience delivery to Apple stores worldwide. Successful candidates are humble, curious, creative, tenacious, organized, have clarity of thought and can lead through ambiguity.
Lead an engineering team that designs and implements tooling and automation supporting the delivery of innovative digital experiences in stores
Understand the end to end process of demo content creation/production, including scripts, software tools and teams. Contribute to overall design, roadmap, performance analysis and optimization of tools
Build management system to ensure technical requirements are aligned with business needs and are resourced and sequenced appropriately. Provide relevant executive communications tied to project status
Collaborate with partner teams to ensure timely delivery of features, or to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
Monitor the performance and reliability of the systems involved in content production, implementing improvements as needed to optimize operations
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience in engineering management, technical program/product management, program delivery or a similar role
5+ years of people management experience, including performance management, recruitment and organizational design
Track record of on time delivery of high quality, complex technical initiatives across global product & engineering teams, including remote vendors
Previous programming experience. Knowledge of command line interface (CLI), terminal tools, scripting, version control tools such as git, as well as database management and API integrations
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building AI/ML products
Role models inclusive leadership behaviors and builds, develops and retains diverse teams
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
