Job Summary:

Completes troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Sumner, WA). will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

(Advanced):

• Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

• Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced diagnostics such as electrical and fuel systems. overhaul and internal engine repair experience. safety oriented. teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as leadership qualities to help mentor less experienced technicians.

• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
