Summary
The Color Management Software organization at Apple is at the core of designing and implementing solutions for rendering visual media on displays. Examples of technologies we've developed include tone mapping, color management, and rendering high dynamic range (HDR) video, images, and graphics (UI); media composition, display brightness & ambient adaptation, and pro color features such as display presets. Our organization is also responsible for architecting content color management, optimizing color quality, and working with key partners on adopting new features. We are looking for candidates with strong engineering and mathematical intuition who are enthusiastic about building products that surprise and delight our customers.
Description
The Color Management Software Engineer role includes 4 functions.
Your responsibilities will include at least one among these functions:
Minimum Qualifications
Software development expertise in C, C++, or an equivalent language
Scripting expertise in Matlab, Python or an equivalent language
Software debugging skills and ability to work with development tools
Expertise in media, color, or display technologies
MS/PhD degree in Computer Science OR Electrical Engineering OR Equivalent Degree OR Equivalent Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Software development expertise in C, C++, or an equivalent language
Scripting expertise in Matlab, Python or an equivalent language
Software debugging skills and ability to work with development tools
Expertise in media, color, or display technologies
Expertise in mathematical modeling and algorithm development
Being versatile and agile in developing new technologies

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
