Job Description
The Associate Director will be responsible for driving the execution of the global brand strategy for AbbVie’s marketed Parkinson’s disease (PD) assets. This role focuses on translating strategic direction into actionable plans and delivering high-quality implementation across global markets. Working closely with cross-functional partners, the Associate Director will lead the coordination of tactical activities that support brand objectives, enhance the patient experience, and align with evolving standards of care.
Key responsibilities include leading sub-teams to ensure stakeholder alignment, managing timelines, and overseeing the planning and execution of key initiatives. The Associate Director will also support lifecycle management efforts and contribute to the operational planning of pipeline PD assets, ensuring seamless integration with broader strategic goals.
This role requires strong project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on delivering results with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Operational Insights: Manage detailed project plans and brand budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets. Provide input into forecasting processes and pricing assumptions to support informed decision-making and accurate planning.
Brand Execution Across Key Markets: Drive the development and rollout of foundational brand tactics—including key messaging, core promotional materials, and global communication plans—to ensure timely country-level adoption and execution.
Global Brand Project Leadership: Lead or co-lead execution of brand initiatives supporting lifecycle management efforts, coordinating across global functions to ensure readiness for evolving patient needs and treatment paradigms.
Patient Support Program Coordination: Lead global brand council discussions related to co-creation of patient support tools and services, ensuring stakeholder input is integrated and deliverables are executed effectively.
Pipeline Asset Launch Readiness: Partner closely with the Pipeline Commercialization Strategy team to operationalize pre-launch activities for Parkinson’s pipeline assets.
Patient Activation Initiatives: Co-lead tactical execution of global patient activation programs, coordinating across markets to ensure consistency, scalability, and measurable impact.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, marketing, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Deep experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including brand execution, customer-facing roles, and cross-functional team leadership.
Hands-on experience with sales and marketing operations, including use of systems like Veeva Vault and navigation of the Medical, Legal, OEC and Regulatory (MLOR) review process.
Strong project management capabilities, with a proven ability to apply structured methodologies to drive execution across complex initiatives.
Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, global environment and demonstrates excellent time management and attention to detail.
Proven ability to influence across functions and geographies, including stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a positive, proactive attitude and commitment to building effective cross-functional partnerships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, actionable communications.
Sound understanding of finance systems and terminology; comfortable contributing to budget planning and financial discussions.
Operates with a high degree of independence, professionalism, and integrity, acts in alignment with AbbVie’s ethics and compliance standards.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.?
