Description

We are looking for a Video/Imaging Software Engineer to join our team of media processing specialists. Your mission will be to design, develop, and implement the next-generation media processing pipeline and framework that powers exciting experiences on Apple Vision Pro.

We need your passion, knowledge, and creativity to solve complex technical challenges. You will have a unique and direct opportunity to create products that will inspire millions of Apple’s customers as a core member of our fast-paced group.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in CS/EE, or similar fields

  • 7+ years experience with software development

  • Experience with image and video processing

  • Excellent programming skills and proficient with one of the programming languages: C/C++, Objective-C, and Swift

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree in CS/EE, or similar fields

  • Experience with media formats(HEVC, H264, JPEG, etc).

  • Experience with video capture/playback, or media processing pipeline

  • Experience with developing media SDKs, frameworks and customer facing APIs

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
