The Worldwide Events Team is seeking a dynamic Venue Operations Manager to be part of our Production Services group. This group works with several teams across the company to manage the Worldwide Events Team’s facilities portfolio. From new launches and keynotes, to live productions and hands on experiences, this team is charged with managing the planning, end-to-end production, guest journeys and unique details that make these events special.

As part of the Worldwide Events team’s Production Services group, the Venue Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the Worldwide Events Team’s production facilities. These world class venues and production studios support content production, events, and theatrical experiences. It’s a particularly exciting time to join our team as we continue to create flawless content and brand experiences in state-of-the-art facilities throughout the Apple ecosystem!
This is an opportunity to join an exceptionally hardworking team dedicated to creating, executing, and innovating shared event and filmed experiences. As a leader on the Production Services team within Worldwide Events, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing best practices and operational excellence for our venue portfolio. If you have experience in venue management or studio management, particularly in spaces that produce live events or filmed content (such as theatrical, entertainment, or tech-based venues), we’d love to hear from you!
- Lead and grow a vibrant team of venue operations leads and coordinators to deliver best-in-class venue management and production facilities services
- Pushing operational excellence and leadership to the forefront through key initiatives including:
- Managing the day-to-day aspects of each of our production facilities
- Create cohesive and efficient processes and procedures for each bespoke facility to ensure each studio and event space are run and managed to Apple standards
- Serve as the subject-matter-expert onsite as the main Events representative for key productions across our venues
- Provide strong and nurturing leadership across internal and external teams
- Manage venue operational planning documentation including but not limited to manuals, day-to-day procedures, venue layouts, CAD’s, inventory management, scheduling, site maps, keynote presentations, etc.
- Lead ongoing and long-term facility initiatives and CapEx planning across all venues
- Lead potential commissioning of new facilities, if required
- Manage budget components for each of the venues alongside the planning and budget team
- Support the Production Services team with the vendor procurement process by creating, editing, and managing venue operations’ RFPs
- Manage specific vendor relations as it pertains to production facilities scopes
- Work closely with our cross-functional partners in Real Estate and Development, Marcom, PR, Global Security, Finance, Procurement, and Product Marketing to bring innovative and curated experiences to life in our production facilities
- Some travel may be required both regionally and internationally
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10+years validated venue management experience with a proven track record and at least 5+ years managing teams in venue or studio environments
Experience managing high performing teams and providing transformational change to core work streams
Organizational expertise in creating and carrying out high-level operational plans for production facilities
Preferred Qualifications
This role requires positive relationships with production vendors and cross-functional partners
Experience in building high performing teams
Experience leading live events and/or film/theatrical productions
Experience managing short or long-term venue construction projects
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization.
Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient with the ability to influence others
Degree in related field of study or equivalent experience preferred.
Competency of AutoCAD a plus
Works well within a team and understands team dynamics.
Flexibility to work as required to fulfill business needs
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $279,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
