American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and solid growing business. To maintain success, accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are essential for the organization. The global Sales Enablement, Pricing, and Transformation (SPT) team, within GCS, is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives.
The Performance and Insights team within SPT is the business analysis and business decisioning support arm of Global Commercial Services (GCS) responsible for studying business performance and uncovering actionable insights to support GCS growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for analytical thinkers with strong intellectual curiosity, strategic mindset, technical data knowledge, financial acumen, and project management skills who is comfortable working with geographically dispersed business partners to be part of this dynamic organization.
The Manager of US P&I is directly responsible for supporting the Client management and Growth enablement organizations in the Global and U.S. Large Enterprises segment of GCS partnering closely with the VP to EVP leadership. The incumbent will play a critical role in driving planning, developing growth strategies to increase performance, and drive execution while working alongside key business partners across GCS.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide thought leadership, including managing segmentation strategy, performance measurement approach as well as ongoing client level insights to drive business growth for the G&L segment.
Ensure optimal channel performance through providing proactive business analyses and actionable insights for quick implementation. Champion data driven decision making and collaboration with partners to assess and optimize business performance.
Manage relationships with G&L Business leaders to drive success for their organization by providing insights that identify pockets of growth as well as contribute to strategy for driving B2B volume growth utilizing external perspectives such as cash conversion trends, supplier chain finance data, spend files.
Lead collaborations across G&L stakeholders to drive planning, portfolio strategy, target setting and scorecard management activities.
Strong analytical mindset to be able to think through and convert raw data to insights.
Strong Business acumen to be able to clearly connect the dots between what data is showing vs where business is headed.
Strong story telling skills to be able to clearly articulate story backed up by data.
Strategic thinking capability to be able to propose business solutions to the sales and AD teams and field leaders.
Having eye for details and proven track record of delivering flawless and accurate results.
Ability to create roadmaps and bring clarity in ambiguous situations.
Ability to work in large teams brings people and ideas together.
Ability to manage stakeholders located at multiple locations.
Advance knowledge of tools used for working on big data platforms. Prior working experience of using tools including SQL, Lumi, and tableau preferred.
Qualifications:
Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work with ambiguity.
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Engineering or related fields.
3-5 years of experience in Analytical Skills, financial modeling, performance planning, data structuring, corporate finance or related fields.
Working knowledge of Cornerstone, SQL, Lumi, Tableau strongly recommended.
Proven track record of managing / navigating wide-ranging organizations and processes.
Ability to conceptualize complex, abstract ideas into solid, tangible representations through reasoning, mathematics and statistics.
Proven ability to learn skills and knowledge on demand in a compressed timeline.
Ability to research independently with a strong sense of discipline and responsibility.
Ability to communicate findings and methodology with senior level executives and team members with confidence.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
