DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician- Level IV to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Bloomfield, CT.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Manufacturing Needs : Perform skilled activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.

  • Safety Protocols : Learn and adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with electricity and industrial equipment, to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance : Actively report hazards, use personal protective equipment, and engage in HSE training to promote a safe workplace.

  • Quality Workmanship: Apply high standards of craftsmanship, follow quality procedures, and perform inspections to ensure product quality.

  • Maintenance and Problem-Solving : Conduct preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance, and provide feedback to improve equipment reliability.

  • Team Collaboration : Instruct and coach team members, communicate effectively, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Housekeeping and Organization : Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.

  • Environmental Awareness : Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work, promoting sustainability.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to create manufacturing processes, tool selections with required tool list from blue prints/CAD model. Required skill to machine from rough billet stock to finished part. Determine tooling/gaging requirements to manufacture parts in the most efficient manner which includes using existing tooling, purchasing new tooling, or developing tooling with or without assistance from tooling engineers as required.

  • Responsible for creating machine programs with the use of CAD and Mastercam software on 3 and 5 th axis machining centers. Required to have extensive Mastercam experience with strong CAD background. Must be able to work independently to create programs

  • Must have high machining and fixturing knowledge with hands on ability to create and perform job and tooling setups.
