Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Verify Bluetooth stack software on FPGA and development boards to validate next generation Apple audio silicon. Submit changes and bug fixes to nightly sanity test racks and review the failures and identify regression. Submit Bluetooth stack software to release new AirPods firmware. Develop new iOS and AirPods features that leverage new sensors and capabilities on AirPods to provide new features, experiences to Apple customers. Triage bugs reported by users, QE, and internal users to identify and resolve bugs. Quantify performance of existing and new features and identify optimizations. Develop automation scripts to process incoming bugs and duplicate them to existing bugs. Support hardware and wireless antenna teams to evaluate performance of new hardware and next generation accessories. Create detailed requirements, design and performance targets documents and review test plans for new features. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,423 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
C and C++ based firmware design and development for memory and CPU and battery constrained devices.
Utilizing real time operating systems to design and implement multi-threaded applications to media or sensor data streams.
1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Developing automation tools using Python to process incoming bug reports and parse log files to help triage bugs reported to quality teams and customers.
Creating technical design and requirement specifications for internal teams and external vendors based on feature requests.
Designing and defining test plans and RF environment setups using Wireless Simulators and Packet Sniffers to evaluate performance of wireless protocols.
Designing robust wireless protocols using Bluetooth Low Energy to meet defined wireless performance targets.
Utilizing SW development processes, including managing multiple simultaneous builds, Continuous Integration (CI) and Agile processes.
