Job Description
The R&D Development Sciences, Senior Financial Analyst assists with the financial planning and analysis and reporting processes and requirements for WW Dev Sci Externals. The role will also assist with supporting the Pre-Clinical Safety and QTAS R&D external organization through business partnering. The role interacts cross-functionally to provide accurate and timely FP&A and reporting deliverables supporting AbbVie R&D External requirements.
Responsibilities
Leads the month end close and financial reporting activities including monthly business/budget reviews, Plan, LBEs and preparation of related review packages with variance analysis/commentary on WW External expenses.
Provides financial support to functional business managers for the External Development Biologic Sciences organization; approximately $90MM.
Prepares variance analysis and commentary for planning cycles and management reporting under direct guidance of Manager for Go-to-Tox and First in Human Pools of funding.
Key liaison for integration of new deals and governance boards on behalf of Development Sciences Finance
Provides accurate and timely financial planning and analysis deliverables to direct Manager.
Supports Accounting Shared Service monthly close and financial reporting processes by reviewing results for completeness and providing variance commentary, which may include P&L and balance sheet components (NHP accounting as example)
Provides financial review and approvals (purchase order requests and invoices).
Leads ad hoc analysis, projects and processes improvements as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
Execute priorities established by Manager with speed and agility.
Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills.
Proficient Excel skills required.
Knowledge of SAP and TM1 a plus.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Salary: $82,500 - $157,500
