Job Description
The Senior Director, APEX (Analytics & Performance Excellence) Advanced Analytics and Enterprise Transformation plays a critical role in shaping the organization's data-driven culture and driving transformative insights to accelerate our growth and ensure our ongoing success. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of data and analytics strategies that inform business decisions and drive significant business value. This individual will develop and execute a strategic vision and provide leadership to teams across U.S. Commercial data management (including governance, operations, and MDM), data strategy and business intelligence, data and analytics products, as well as an innovation hub focused on new data acquisitions and GenAI use cases. By using analytics and data science, this leader will nurture new innovations to support our field teams by balancing design and operational tradeoffs and will stimulate analytical innovation in Field Planning, Field Tools, and Incentive Compensation capabilities. This leader will also head and shape our competitive intelligence organization and lead core capabilities to inform our sales force IC plans and field tools.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategy and execution across Competitive Intelligence, Advanced Analytics & Innovation, Data Transformation, and FPAT center teams, ensuring cohesive delivery of insights, tools, and capabilities.
Oversee the development and integration of capabilities, data infrastructure, and tools and support adoption of solutions by brand teams.
Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Data and Analytics Center of Excellence that aligns with current and future business objectives and drives growth. This includes identifying opportunities for data-driven insights and solutions that build competitive advantage.
Provide strategic direction for the design and implementation of performance analytics frameworks, developing best practices to be used across the enterprise, enabling a consistent approach to measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the generation of actionable insights.
Identify and pilot Future-Fit Technology Solutions that allow more efficient and effective salesforce decisions.
Guide the delivery of field force-specific, business-driving, field planning solutions, field tools, and incentive compensation plans leveraging enterprise best practices and industry benchmarking.
Drive collaboration across many cross-functional and subject matter expert teams while supporting the delivery of field effectiveness resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline such as economics, math, computer science, information technology, or related field
15+ years of related professional experience, with 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 years technical experience
Experience in the Pharma industry is required with a strong understanding of data and analytics frameworks and best practices
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance
Excellent collaboration and strategic execution skills, with ability to align with brand teams, manage complex initiatives, and deliver solutions that address brand teams' analytics needs
Strategic leader with expertise in data strategy, measurement, and data science capabilities that can drive scalable innovation, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration/adoption to enable impactful, insight-driven decision making
