Summary

Apple’s Product, Design & Marketing (PD&M) Operations team is seeking a Budget Manager to join the Budget Management Team. Here you’ll be responsible for managing budgets for our Services lines of businesses (LOBs) across multiple cross-functional teams. This position is responsible for fiscal planning, forecasting, monitoring budget performance, and providing operational and strategic support across a complex organization.

We're seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and analytical thinker who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.

Description

The Budget Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing and managing Marketing and Design budgets across Services LOBs. In this role, you will provide both operational and strategic support, working closely with Finance, Marketing, and Design producers. The ideal candidate works autonomously but also collaborates closely with partners and demonstrates the ability to dive deep into the details and can deliver results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Budgeting with a proven understanding of core finance and accounting principles, including accruals, P&Ls, forecasting, fiscal planning, budgeting, and Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) processes

  • Experience analyzing, reconciling, and interpreting large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights using Excel

  • Relevant experience working on budgets or forecasting

  • Business experience with working in a creative and/or marketing organization

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intellectually curious and unafraid to challenge the status quo, with a passion to identify and root cause issues to find the best solution to a problem

  • Thrives in ambiguity and makes decisions with incomplete information while clearly articulating the rationale behind those decisions

  • Meticulously detail-oriented with a strong sense of when to apply high-level strategic thinking versus deep, accuracy-driven analysis

  • Possesses strong analytical acumen, capable of distilling large and complex data sets into clear and concise insights

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft presentations that convey a compelling narrative

  • A collaborative team player with the ability to build strong relationships, influence, understand diverse perspectives, and negotiate effectively with stakeholders

  • Operates autonomously with minimal supervision, proactively taking initiative to achieve impactful results

  • Relevant experience working on budgets or forecasting within a creative team

  • Strong aptitude for mastering new tools and comprehending the integration and interrelationship of diverse data points across multiple platforms
