POSITION SUMMARY
The Office of the Vice President, Special Initiatives involves working with the board, grantees and members of the community to manage and enhance the impact of the Simons family's philanthropic efforts and the discretionary grant making of the foundation.
A 10-week internship is available in the office of the Vice President, Special Initiatives. The position is an opportunity to gain experience as an Executive Assistant. The intern will learn and perform a number of administrative duties and will work directly with senior level executives. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.
This internship is expected to start in late May. The intern will work between 24-40 hours per week, depending on availability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients
- Prepare internal documents, presentations, and reports for team members
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Manage domestic and international travel itineraries
- Arrange meetings and events
- Maintain a filing system of paper and electronic documents
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
- Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate
