How will you make an impact in this role?
The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Global Brand Strategy & Insights (GBSI) team sits within GABM. We are responsible for accelerating brand consideration globally by delivering robust insights, transformative brand strategies, and key capabilities for marketers across the organization.
The Vice President, Digital Brand Products , is a critical role responsible for setting the strategic agenda for capability innovation across GABM. As the sole product leader within GABM, this individual will define and deliver against ambitious product strategies and roadmaps, lead a highly collaborative relationship with a dedicated Technology team, and lead other key internal and external relationships to drive integrated and effective customer experiences. This person will lead a high-performing team of 18 product delivery, operations, strategy and design colleagues and will oversee the following key strategic focus areas:
I. Enterprise Marketer Tools, with a specific focus on GenAI solutions for key GABM functions across OnBrand (internal agency), Amex Insights and Core Marketer workstreams. This includes enabling GenAI for content generation, market research and brand review.
II. The Digital Customer Experience for Entertainment, inclusive of:
a. Defining an E2E digital strategy for Entertainment and experiences
b. Building out digital ticketing capabilities and owning the frontend experience
c. Owning capabilities that support Global Sponsorships and Experiences, like US Open Tennis, Formula 1, Coachella, etc., to engage and enhance the onsite experience for customers and prospects
III. The tech planning and investment prioritization process for GABM. For the past four years, GABM product has seen incredible transformation, nearly tripling its tech investment as the business has continued to invest in Sponsorships, Media and core Marketing Services like OnBrand and Amex Insights. This individual will lead the next wave of strategic growth to continue to build and integrate best-in-class capabilities and experiences that help deliver innovation and power meaningful business outcomes.

Passionate people leader with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing colleagues and teams
Exceptional relationship-builder with a proven track record of driving results through influence
Superior communication skills and comfort with presenting to senior audiences like the CMO, CIO, CTO and similar audiences on a regular basis. Ability to transform business requirements into product roadmaps, and conversely, translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
Risk-first mindset, ensuring flawless execution underpinned by key compliance and risk-based processes
Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage product delivery across different timelines
Inspire creativity across the product and engineering teams, and celebrate new ideas that push the boundaries, leverage emerging technology solutions and celebrate innovation
Qualifications
Salary Range: $176,750.00 to $282,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
