As a National Account Coordinator, you will focus on proactive management of 1-3 assigned accounts within our RETAIL organization. You will partner with National Account Sales Managers and Field Sales Reps to ensure that each customer is managed and operates with maximum efficiency. Your scope of responsibility will include cross-functional collaboration, internal and external relationship management, communicating & escalating customer needs internally, meeting our business objectives, and improving overall productivity. This is an ideal role for someone seeking a position in inside sales and/or customer support.
This position adds value by identifying and escalating any customer issues, order exceptions or product concerns. It requires independent decision making to proactively resolve issues and execute critical processes. You will be the point of contact for other departments related to operational activity, such as Customer Experience, Purchasing, Accounting, Production, Costing, Warehouse Ops, Marketing, and IT.
The role is onsite, day shift M-F working in our Long Island, NY office. There may be some work from home flexibility (1-2 days/ month).
Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with the National Account sales team in executing several sales operational processes that enable commercial team members to focus on customer-facing revenue generating activities.
The role serves as sales support and as an internal liaison to the selling organization and supports various process, including but not limited to; new customer set-up and onboarding, price maintenance, forecasting, item maintenance, report management and customer account maintenance,
Operational implementation of new business opportunities. Includes, but not limited to; Customer engagement, coordination with internal stakeholders through customer on-boarding, oversight of project/opportunity management throughout lifecycle.
Handle Accounts Receivable collection process, activities, and best practices; this work performed is in collaboration with sales leaders.
Track sales opportunities throughout lifecycle and report on progress.
Use CRM tools (MS Dynamics, mTrilogix, SmartSheet, etc.) to manage the execution of sales opportunities and to develop and manage customer reporting regarding the overall performance, profitability and health of the customer relationship.
Serve as a liaison with internal functional areas on the execution of sales operations processes.
Perform eCommerce maintenance including customer, item, pricing and administrative functions that support digital solutions and websites.
Interface and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure the execution of sales operational processes.
Maintain data in ERP and manage overall transactional workflow.
Provide feedback and participate as needed on projects that help streamline our operational processes.
Must establish a good working rapport with the other Bunzl locations, trouble-shoot potential problems, rectify existing concerns, and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three+ years related sales, customer support or retail experience.
Strong understanding sales and sales operations practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze information and determine appropriate action and to transfer previous learning to current situations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional communication skills and capable of forging strong, impactful cross-functional relationships.
Knowledge of one or more operational areas (customer service, warehousing, finance, purchasing, inventory management) a strong plus.
Salary Range: $60-75K base; determined by experience, education and market data in the geographic location.
