How will you make an impact in this role?
The Enterprise Digital Experiences (EDX) team brings together important global and enterprise-level digital assets including the Amex Mobile App and Web experiences (MYCA, Home Page, Navigation, Loyalty & Benefits). With our partners across the company, our objective is to become a more essential part of our customer’s digital lives.
The Manager Assistant (Chief of Staff) will report directly to the VP, Digital Journeys & Member Personalization. This person will see and influence how strategic decisions are made in our organization, prepare presentations to communicate the strategy and vision, provide recommendations for areas of improvement, implement a communications strategy for the organization, drive culture and innovation, and manage key activities to support the team day to day. The candidate will be a key member of the Leadership Team, working closely and collaborating with all members of the team. They will possess outstanding thought leadership, critical thinking, visual storytelling talents, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a record of excellence operating independently and within a hard-working team environment. This role offers a hands-on experience to a wide range of responsibilities within the organization, providing a comprehensive learning experience tailored to develop the MA’s skills and expertise in this domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Vice President (VP) of Digital Journeys & Member Personalization by executing chief of staff duties and managing business operations and ongoing deliverables for the team.
Manage the budget (e.g., training, travel and entertainment, third party, marketing)
Liaise closely with HR Business Partner and lead the execution of a wide range of HR and Talent initiatives (e.g., Talent Assessment, Mid Year, Learning and Development).
Develop and execute strategies and initiatives to drive colleague engagement, and to improve the team’s organizational design and overall effectiveness; coordinate recruiting and colleague/consultant onboarding activities.
Lead ad-hoc priority projects that require strategic analysis and data consolidation
Prepare business presentations for executive-level updates, and handle ad-hoc requests
Create internal and external organizational communications through a wide range of channels including memos, announcements, Town Halls.
Coordinate VP’s Leadership Team Meetings and Global Team Meetings, including creating agendas and leading the meetings.
Build strong working relationships across the group, as well as with business partner to maximize collaboration, problem solving, and generate solutions to deliver results and improve overall leadership effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
5 years' working experience.
Strong leadership skills, including:
Highly organized and able to lead projects end-to-end
Detailed-oriented
Proactive in identifying and solutioning challenges and opportunities
Collaborative and influential
Ability to work well under pressure and to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines
Thought leadership and ability to interface with senior management required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Aptitude for working with data, interpreting results, business intelligence and best practices
Strong MS Office proficiency
Strong ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature
Qualifications
Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually bonus benefits
