American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their business. Within GCS, the Business Line of Credit (BLOC) plays a critical role in shaping the future of our lending portfolio. The BLOC Product Development team is responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions that provide businesses with flexible access to capital, while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, operational excellence, and customer experience.

How will you make an impact in this role?

As part of the Business Line of Credit Product Development team, you will collaborate across a range of cross-functional stakeholders to drive both strategic initiatives and platform enhancements that strengthen the BLOC product, integrate into enterprise capabilities, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead project delivery end-to-end with exceptional problem-solving and collaboration skills. They will have experience managing multiple stakeholders, partnering across one or more Engineering scrum teams, and leading a cross-functional team to design solutions, achieve governance approvals, and build/test/deploy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development and delivery of initiatives in the BLOC Exposure product journey, focusing on the management of a customer’s line, terms, and price and their related experiences

  • Drive collaboration with engineering, credit/fraud risk, product strategy, pricing, and other cross-functional team members to align requirements, determine implementation approaches, and deliver high impact initiatives

  • Manage initiatives across multiple Engineering scrum teams, defining user stories & test criteria, influencing sprint plans, and ensuring quality delivery

  • Manage BLOC enterprise integrations within the Credit & Fraud Risk Systems and associated customer communications related to the Exposure product journey

  • Ensure operational soundness and regulatory compliance across existing customer journeys, functionality, and processes

  • Partner with Servicing, Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Control teams to resolve customer issues and address platform breakdowns

  • Document business architecture and product functionality to ensure clarity, alignment, and knowledge sharing

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and coaching team members while modeling execution excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in product management, platform development, or related roles within financial services or engineering teams

  • Proven track record in leading large product initiatives from concept to execution

  • A balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with experience working with engineers and partners on large, complex production systems in an agile environment

  • Strong relationship & communication skills to influence decision making and communicate at multiple organizational levels

  • Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously while adapting to evolving business needs

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and research to guide decision-making and issue resolution

  • Proficiency in documenting business solutions to ensure a clear understanding of platform capabilities and their role in product development

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development frameworks

  • High personal accountability and leads with a customer first mindset

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
