Description
Apple seeks an experienced attorney to join the Legal and Global Security organization as Counsel for the Online Safety team. The position will help create and administer policies relating to online safety and child safety on our platforms, provide legal advice, and design, create and implement programs designed to support and improve online safety on our platforms in coordination with other business units.
This role will require domestic and international travel as well as meetings outside of normal business hours to accommodate global time zones.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience counseling on online safety legal issues, either in the private sector, with non-governmental organizations, or in government.
Familiarity with global online safety regulatory regimes and privacy laws.
Passionate about building effective relationships both internally and externally.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills together with an ability to apply them to commercial business context and communicate, both verbal and written, in a non-technical manner.
Willingness to travel.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience counseling on online safety legal issues, either in the private sector, with non-governmental organizations, or in government.
Familiarity with global online safety regulatory regimes.
Familiarity with online safety and privacy laws.
Experience working with regulators, legislators, and policymakers.
Experience working with NGOs, civil society, and industry trade associations.
Experience working at the intersection of safety, security, privacy, and technology.
Self-motivated, solution driven and growth mindset.
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment and perform under pressure.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $180,300 and $271,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
