DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented School to Work - Supply Chain Planning student to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY through a cooperative learning experience.

Job Summary

The primary role of the Supply Chain School to Work cooperative learning position is to provide support to the global supply chain team, which consists of both planners and analysts. The student will, at the same time, gain real world experience and education in the field of material management and data analytics in a business-to-business environment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Develop global supply chain database, using Microsoft Access and Excel

• Design supply chain information queries using database tools

• Data gathering with sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, Australia, India and China

• Develop training documentation

• Semester project to be determined with supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred

• Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities

• Ability to work independently and within teams as needed

Education

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Must be a student in either high school or in post-secondary institution.

• Ideal candidate is working toward an undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations Management or Business Administration

Compensation (for United States)

• Master data audit database and documentation

• Economic order quantity calculation and audit process

• Customer forecast accuracy reporting and dashboards

• Safety stock analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Develop global supply chain database, using Microsoft Access and Excel

• Design supply chain information queries using database tools

• Data gathering with sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, Australia, India and China

• Develop training documentation

• Semester project to be determined with supervisor

Qualifications and Competencies

• Must be a full-time college student

• Ideal candidate working toward an undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations Management or Business Administration

• Co-op experience must be part of the student curriculum

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred

• Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities

• Ability to work independently and within teams as needed

Additional Requirements

• Completion of Intro to Information Systems or equivalent class (e.g. IS2080)

• Available Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:30

• Ability to be on-site

• Transportation available to and from the office
