The Strategy & Planning Lead, Business Development will be instrumental in shaping the strategic planning function for global partnerships for Apple’s Services business. This high-impact role is central to driving forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and performance analysis of our global partnerships across key Services (e.g., Apple TV). You will be critical in establishing and maturing our overall planning function, collaborating with cross-functional teams (including Finance, Analytics, and Commerce) to develop robust methodologies and processes.
We are looking for a prolific and proactive individual who can take ownership of complex planning workstreams, leveraging collaboration with multiple stakeholders. This role requires a highly motivated team player with exceptional attention to detail, mastery of financial modeling, and excellent presentation and communication skills.
Description
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of our planning function, including establishing robust processes for initiative prioritization and long-range forecasting across global business development.
- Design, build, and maintain a comprehensive suite of advanced financial models for forecasting deal performance, revenue growth, and impact, ensuring a detailed 'bottoms-up' view of each partnership.
- Develop and implement performance tracking frameworks, providing insightful analysis against forecasts and strategic targets to senior leadership, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Analytics, Finance, Commerce) to define planning requirements, refine reporting tools, and ensure alignment on strategic objectives and KPIs.
- Contribute to the strategic planning for specific channels, including evaluating new deals, analyzing partnership performance, and setting targets.
- Drive the research, sizing, and strategic prioritization of new business and partnership opportunities, translating market insights and competitive analyses into actionable recommendations for growth plans.
- Collaborate with partner managers to track and assess key KPIs and growth drivers, proactively surfacing insights to optimize partnership performance against planned objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
1-3 years of experience with time spent in corporate finance, management consulting, and/or similar strategy and planning functions in a global, fast-paced organization.
BS or BA required.
Strong analytical skills; ability to conceive, structure, perform, direct, and effectively communicate sophisticated data analysis.
Expert-level proficiency in Excel and Keynote, with a deep understanding of advanced functions in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with content subscription businesses and their unique planning considerations.
High level of enthusiasm, innovation, and dedication with the ability to adapt easily to change and multitask.
Ability to coordinate, lead, and influence cross-functional workstreams.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with senior executives, including via formal presentations.
