Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Develop instrumentation and software for calibration and testing of hardware sensors for Apple products. Design and develop advanced automation testing software to be integrated into new hardware designs. Serve as technical lead to develop advanced electrical and software testing processes. Review existing testing solutions and redesign for better precision, faster test times, and reduced cost. Coordinate with senior developers, designers, product managers to understand complex hardware systems. Analyze the advanced software requirements and define test criteria for hardware design to define and create test solutions. Develop the automated functional and regression tests using existing testing frameworks to evaluate the performance of device/product against its specifications. Participate in code reviews conducted by the developers and offering guidance to less senior engineers. Evaluate existing hardware/software test methodologies and provide new techniques that will help deliver high-quality features. Understand application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the Technology department. International Travel required 20%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $186,254 - $210,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Software Development of algorithms, applications, and platforms to enable product testing
Utilizing Python and C++ languages to enable software development for testing platforms to fit within our existing ecosystem
Testing automation software to ensure that desired product testing outcomes are achieved
Analysis of advanced requirements and specifications to enable the testing coverage
Operating and performing testing of electrical and software systems to ensure product performance
Designing and developing hardware devices, instruments, and test systems to measure and evaluate product performance
Data mining, analytics, and processing of measurements to produce plots, graphs, and draw conclusions about product testing results
