American Express Enterprise Cloud team is looking for innovators to help us build world-class Cloud Products and Platforms focused on rich developer experience powered by integrated infrastructure-as-code capabilities.

The Director – Cloud Product Management will be part of the Enterprise Cloud Organization, responsible for Cloud Experience, Multi-Cloud capabilities, Private Cloud product functions. This role will help in making user journeys on Amex's Multi Cloud Platform seamless, frictionless, secure, scalable and stable. A successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment with complex challenges and evolving Cloud technology innovations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Cloud Experience, Multi-Cloud capabilities product vision, strategy, roadmap, goals; develop requirements and evangelize to stakeholders and peers to gain alignment and engagement.

  • Engage in user research, understanding industry trends and competitive landscape to define Cloud Developer Experience, and broader Cloud Services product capabilities.

  • Establish the Go to Market strategy for relevant Cloud products and builds strategic approach for the management and monitoring of product KPIs.

  • Responsible for defining and managing OKRs, prioritization of features and capabilities.

  • Lead multiple product managers responsible for various cloud products. Accountable for accurate and timely identification of risks, issues and changes required for their products or related group of products.

  • Contributes to Enterprise Cloud strategy and goals. Leads and directs their teams in conducting research and analysis.

  • Owning key stakeholder relationships across journey experiences, compliance, engineering, program management and leadership team.

  • As the subject matter expert in Cloud Products, educate American Express developer community and Platform engineering teams on Cloud product capabilities and hands-on technical training.

  • Create product related awareness and marketing materials and evangelize the products and product strategy.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams on a day-to-day basis to define and implement roadmaps for enterprise cloud.

  • Collaborate with partner teams (Information Security for example) to understand the requirements and integrate into the roadmaps/sprints/releases.

  • Prepare and present executive level strategies, spotlights, and business cases of key capabilities.

  • Establish feedback loop with customers to incorporate product enhancements to increase cloud platform services adoption.

  • Be a promoter of the Cloud Products to the American Express community and put continuous measures to increase Customer Satisfaction Score

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in Technical Product Management with focus on Cloud Platforms, Foundational technologies

  • BS in Computer Science or product management or equivalent; User Experience is a plus

  • Experience building enterprise scale technical product requirements, OKRs and delivery for Public and Private cloud services.

  • Technical experience in AWS, GCP services and/or Cloud native (CNCF) based technologies, and observability tools across multiple clouds.

  • Understanding of application development ecosystem across several languages (Java, .NET, Go, Python, etc.) and ability to drive the developer requirements across cloud product services.

  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools integration with cloud services

  • Distill a complex set of requirements into defined deliverables.

  • Explain complex concepts in a way that enables the team to understand what they are doing and why.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Strong communicator with results-driven attitude

  • Experience with agile methodology to drive software development and delivery.

  • Competent in using GenAI and data-driven processes/tools for decision making.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $144,250.00 to $256,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
