Apple’s Enterprise team is looking for an innovative and passionate Platform Engineer to join our growing Enterprise team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be in a highly dynamic role that employs your expertise in software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE, to support our Product Engineering teams and our customers. You will participate in building complex software in accordance with project requirements, design, and Apple’s commitment to privacy and security. Our Platform Team focuses on excellence in architecture, consistent foundational libraries, platform product features, and developer efficiency.

Description

Consider joining our team and crafting the software for some of our most impactful products and services. We are looking for a deeply capable engineer who has a strong background in cloud-based infrastructures and who has built high-performance, scalable, and extensible systems. You will have the opportunity to work with other teams from across the company, across a variety of disciplines, while delivering functionality that millions of our customers depend on.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of developing cloud services in a professional environment, or equivalent experience

• Proficiency authoring quality software with Java, Go, Python, or comparable programming languages

• Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized software

• Expert in best practices for security, observability, reliability, performance and incident response

• Passion for making valuable use of cutting edge development tools, be it AI or otherwise

• Strong sense of ownership and drives clarity and alignment for the entire team

• Exercises direct and timely communication to surface opportunity and risk to teammates

• Able to participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert in infrastructure automation and release engineering

• Demonstrated track record designing, building, and deploying highly scalable cloud-based architectures

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change as new opportunities to innovate arise

• Experience with Cassandra, Redis/Valkey, Kafka, and other CNCF technologies
