The Amex Digital Labs team drives innovation at American Express by originating, incubating, and managing products and platforms that are essential to our customers’ digital lives. The Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Insights in Amex Digital Labs will play an integral part in driving continued growth, collaboration, and innovation across our entire product portfolio. This role will sit on the broader Cross Product Strategy & Operations team within Labs whose mission is to foster a culture of product excellence by focusing on cross-functional areas that drive efficiency, consistency, and strategic decision making across the Labs product portfolio. You will be responsible for data analysis, product insights, monitoring standards, and data migration.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Design and implement a robust data and insights strategy to support product decision-making; define key performance indicators (KPIs), build scalable analytics frameworks, and incorporate stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement and monitor product health across releases

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify and evaluate technical solutions, assess trade-offs, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact product features and capabilities

  • Act as a strategic analytics partner to Product Managers , proactively identifying business needs, translating them into data-driven solutions, and communicating insights, risks, and roadmap implications to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders

  • Bring data to life through compelling storytelling and visualization, using creative formats and tailored presentations to clearly demonstrate the value, impact, and opportunities uncovered through analytics - ensuring stakeholders not only understand the data but are inspired to act on it

  • Support data migration efforts , ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained throughout the process and enabling smooth integration into analytics and reporting workflows

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Skilled at analyzing complex datasets and translating findings into clear, actionable insights; skilled in crafting compelling narratives that influence decision-makers through strong written and verbal communication

  • Natural relationship builder who excels at aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals, fostering collaboration, and ensuring stakeholders are brought along throughout the product lifecycle

  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating agility in shifting priorities, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining focus on high-impact outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Great team player who is naturally curious about how things work, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Actively seeks and integrates feedback from diverse stakeholders, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive decision-making.

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product development or product operations

  • Experience in working with technical and product development teams and knowledge of data tools such as Power BI, Adobe, etc. is a plus!

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
