At Apple, Quality is one of the cornerstones of what makes our products and technologies
great. Leading the team responsible for ensuring our customers receive the high quality and
reliability they expect in addition to enabling a design where quality is built in to scale large
volumes at capable suppliers is an incredibly challenging job requiring a broad array of
technical and management skills. You will engage early in development to enable new
technologies that goes across Apple Products.

Description

Core Technology Quality Engineers are responsible for driving quality improvement actions
on future products. They enable a mass production capable manufacturing processes and
develop plans to validate / verify new product quality at each development landmark. They
approach problems in an engineering method and make data driven decision. Quality
Engineers also bring up capable suppliers which can execute at a high level in an ongoing
basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, enclosures, castings, plastic parts, glass parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality manufacturing engineering (e.g. Automotive, Consumer Electronics,

• Medical Devices, etc)

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or similar field

Preferred Qualifications

• MS/MBA in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin language

• skills are a plus but not required

• Finance/business acumen (understand cost drivers and derive costs associated with

• managing quality)

• Reliability methods and quality sampling methodologies

• Third party production quality & process management experience

• Experience working with customers

• Project management experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $128,400 and $193,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
