The Director, Global Network Operations Center - West is accountable for maintaining the highest level of network infrastructure availability, optimizing performance, and swiftly resolving incidents to minimize downtime and business impact. The Director will be responsible for implementing best practices, fostering a high-performing team capable of proactive monitoring, maintenance, and continuous service improvement. Ultimately safeguarding critical network assets and supporting the organization's technical backbone.
Responsibilities:
Provide ‘hands on’ technical support for incident circumvention as needed
Participates in cloud scale, architecture, design and maintenance
Drive a world-class customer service culture within the team and through personal example
Work outside of business hours as needed during major incidents (24x7x365 on call)
Hire and retain talent. Build, manage and lead a team of highly talented engineers
Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
Works closely with infrastructure, product, engineering and solutions on feature sets that impact multiple platforms and products
Managing the Circuits and Capacity globally
Driving automations for improving availability and hygiene of the network
Qualifications:
Over 10 years of experience in supporting large enterprise/data center networks
At least one year of demonstrated leadership experience over a team of engineers
Expert level knowledge in Cisco NX-OS/IOS, and Arista
Expert level knowledge in F5 LTM and GTM products
Expert level knowledge in TCP/IP analysis
Strong understanding of network security best practices
Strong understanding of software-defined data center concepts
Strong understanding of Public Cloud and Private Cloud Technologies
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage high pressure situations
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related IT field preferred
Qualifications
Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
